Duties and Responsibilities: Medical illustrators are highly skilled artists.  They work strictly in the medical field and create graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films.

 

Salary: $35,000 - $50,000 

 

Education: Students interested in becoming medical illustrators should take a college preparatory program in high school that emphasizes art and science. 

 

Reflection: I would not like to be a medical illustrator because I don’t like drawing it bore me.

Duties and responsibilities: Medical assistants help physicians and nurses deliver patient care.  They schedule appointments, take blood pressures, respirations, temperatures, and perform other routine patient pre-examining procedures. 

Salary:  $17,000 - $18,000

Education: Students should complete high school with courses in biology, physical science, office management, communications, and human relations, although medical assistant training programs may accept GED certificates.


Reflection: I would like to be a medical assistant because I like to assistant people.

Reflection: What this statement is trying to tell you is that every time you make a masterpiece you should reward yourself and feel good because you made that master piece and you should great about it and feel good because you did that and you have the power.

Duties and responsibilities: Registered Nurses (RNs) do specialized and skilled nursing.  They are responsible for supervising and planning the care of ill patients.  They oversee the care that is given by practical nurses and nurse’s aides.  

Salary: $23,000 - $45,000

Education: Students should take college preparation courses in high school that emphasize the sciences. There are three ways to become a registered nurse.  First, many hospitals offer three year nursing school courses.


Reflection: I would like to become a licensed practical nurse because I’m really into that stuff and I want to be one when I become older.

Duties and Responsibilities: industrial hygienists evaluate health hazards, conduct health risk assessments, manage industrial or business health programs, and provide consultation. 

Salary: $40,000 - $60,000

Education: Students should take challenging college preparatory courses, especially in mathematics and science, during high school. 


Reflection: I would not like to be an industrial hygienist because I’m not really into conducting health risk assignments.
