Reflection: What this statement means is that it takes one person to start something and the helpers are on the way to help you grow and not fall. For example it’s like if you make an invention and people like it, and then the help comes and makes factories to produce more and more products to sell and the help was the people that helped you start a company.

Home Health Aide

Duties and Responsibilities:Home health aides usually work for companies that provide in-home assistance to ill, injured, elderly, or disabled customers.  Their duties include taking the blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients.  They help patients get in and out of bed, take baths, and dress.  They also prepare and serve meals as well as perform housekeeping chores like making beds and cleaning rooms.

Salary:$8,000 - $18,000

Education:Most employers prefer that nursing assistants and aides have a high school diploma or GED certificate.  Some vocational schools and community colleges offer training programs. 

Reflection:I would not like to be a home health aide because I don’t like taking care of the elderly because to me taking care of them is really boring and I would not like to work as this.

Salary:  $35,000 - $100,000

Education:  Students should take challenging high school courses in business, science, math, and English. Most healthcare administrators hold master's degrees in healthcare administration or business administration. 


Reflection: I would like to be a health care administrator because I like taking responsibilities and showing and demonstrating what leadership is.

Education:  Most librarians need a master’s degree in library science. Science librarian’s also having other requirements which are a teaching certificate or a degree in another field.

 

Answer: I would like to be a health science librarian because they make pretty good money annually but the turn out will be that it’s not my interest.

The Health Information Specialist under the direction of the Health Information Manager will assist in the quality management of organizational health information, organizational compliance, and duties of the Health Information Technician.

 

Salary: $20,000-$25,000

 

Education: Students should take high school courses in business, information management, science, math, and English. Coding specialists must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Accredited record technicians must earn an associate’s degree from an accredited college program. Additionally they must pass a credentialing examination. Record administrators must complete a bachelor’s degree program in a field and pass a certification examination.

No I would not like to be a Health Information Specialist because I not really in to it.

·      Teach health in public and private schools.

Educational Requirements:

Students should take college preparatory courses during high school.

Health educators have, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in health education. Many have master’s degrees. To be certified or licensed to teach health in public schools requires a master’s degree and successful completion of a written exam in many states.

Education: Genetic counselors have a Master of Science degree from an accredited two-year graduate program in genetic counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Epidemiologists study the frequency and distribution of diseases within human population and environment. Specifically, they measure the incidence of disease occurrence and relate it to different characteristics of populations and environments. Epidemiologists perform research, education, and public health practices in universities, government agencies, international organizations, and Private Corporation. Epidemiologist often:

·       Work on developing or refining methods of measuring and evaluating disease occurrences.

·       Develop and recommend public health policy.

·       Study or research  chronic diseases , infectious diseases, disease outbreak, injuries,occupations, and environment

Average Salary: $30,000-$50,000

 

Educational Requirements:

 

Students should take the most challenging high school courses (including AP or IB courses) available in science, math, and English. Epidemiologists have, as a minimum, master’s degrees in public health. Undergraduate requirements for admissions into public health graduate programs vary by schools but usually include strong background in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and or statistics.

 

Statement: I don’t think I would like to be an epidemiologist because I don’t like what they do.
