Home Health Aide

Home Health Aide

Duties and Responsibilities:Home health aides usually work for companies that provide in-home assistance to ill, injured, elderly, or disabled customers.  Their duties include taking the blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients.  They help patients get in and out of bed, take baths, and dress.  They also prepare and serve meals as well as perform housekeeping chores like making beds and cleaning rooms.

Salary:$8,000 - $18,000

Education:Most employers prefer that nursing assistants and aides have a high school diploma or GED certificate.  Some vocational schools and community colleges offer training programs.

Reflection:I would not like to be a home health aide because I don’t like taking care of the elderly because to me taking care of them is really boring and I would not like to work as this.
