Reflection: I believe that we actually do this, we can be successful in life and if we all work together to do what is right for us, and committee to do our best, and to treat people the way that I want  to be treated so that we can become successful.

Duties and Responsibilities:Opticians fit and dispense eyeglasses for patients based upon prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Optician’s help the customer’s select eyeglass frames and then measure their faces so that correct size frames can be ordered.

 

Salary:$19,000 - $40,000

 

Education:Students should take high school courses in physics, algebra, mechanical drawing, and geometry.  A high school diploma or GED certificate is needed to begin training as an optician.  There are two types of training programs. 

 

Reflection:I would not like to be an optometrist because I don’t want to be one.

Duties and Responsibilities: Prosthetists design and make replacement limbs.  Orthotists work with patients that need extra support for their muscles, spine, or limbs.  Design, make, and fit apparatuses made of plastic, wood, leather, and metal that help stabilize, strengthen or replace body parts.  

 

Salary: $25,000 - $40,000

 

Education: Students should take challenging science, math, and English courses in high school. Some colleges and universities offer bachelor degrees in orthotic and prosthetic programs.

 

 

Reflection: I would like to be an orthotist because they make pretty decent money.
